The Sonnegg team is always there for you

Antonia and Georg have been running the Sonnegg Hotel for 36 years. Together they took over the then 20-bed guesthouse from Georg’s parents and expanded and renovated it year after year.

There was an all around renovation in 2016, followed by many more comfort improvements in subsequent years. In 2019 we have fulfilled the great desire of a parking garage. And in 2020, spontaneously and by chance, a second hotel was built. And so, on July 4, 2021, we opened the Hotel Goldstück.

So we don’t get bored, and no sooner is a project completed than new ideas are already haunting our minds.

The Sonnegg Hotel has 34 rooms divided into two structures connected by an underground corridor. In our three small and cozy restaurant areas you will be spoiled with culinary delights at any time of the day. The room price includes the Sonnegg breakfast from the buffet and the 4-course dinner menu. The covered pergola along with the terrace are inviting for splashing drinks in summer and the cozy fireplace lounge with reading corner and bar is perfect for the colder days. High-speed wifi in all hotel areas allows you to work even on vacation.

“A HEART FOR MOTORCYCLES”

Antonia and Georg Fresacher are the heart and soul of the Hotel Sonnegg – and they’ve made it a top spot for motorbike enthusiasts. Georg himself is a big fan of motorbiking. He regularly accompanies guests on early bird rides to the Großglockner, to enjoy a light breakfast while taking in the breathtaking view at 2,500 metres above sea level. And of course he’s never too shy to give out a tip or two. You’ll find a few of them here on our website

WELLNESS

For the necessary relaxation you are in the best hands in the wellness area. bio sauna Finnish sauna, steam room and relaxation room with waterbeds let active days in the Alps fade out. The heated outdoor pool is perfect in any season: refreshingly cool in summer and cozy and warm in winter. Bathrobes, slippers and wellness bag are of course also provided.

If you are looking for even more relaxation, you can find it with a beauty or massage treatment. If sports prefer indoor instead of outdoor, there is a fitness room for that.

STORAGE SPACE FOR SKIS, BIKES
& CARS

For all skiers among you, a ski room with its own heated lockers provides the necessary storage space. Cars, motorcycles and mountain bikes find their place in the parking garage and the free outdoor parking spaces. If you get caught in the rain in the summer, there is a drying room for wet clothes.
