It’s important to us that Sonnegg is and remains a family-run business. It goes without saying that as the host family, we can’t be in all places at once, but that’s why we have such an amazing team to take care of your needs, no matter how big or small, throughout the day.
Antonia and Georg Fresacher are the heart and soul
of the Hotel Sonnegg – and they’ve made it a top spot for motorbike enthusiasts. Georg himself is a big fan of motorbiking. He regularly accompanies guests on early bird rides to the Großglockner, to enjoy a light breakfast while taking in the breathtaking view at 2,500 metres above sea level. And of course he’s never too shy to give out a tip or two. You’ll find a few of them here on our website
You could say that Madlen grew up in the hotel. She knows every corner of the building and the region like the back of her hand, and as a passionate hiker she knows the most stunning parts of the area. By her side is her dear sports and life partner Andi, who feels just as comfortable in his Salzburg home as he does in the rest of the world. The pair apply their huge hearts and extensive experience to breathing new life into the hotel, and ensure that the Sonnegg will still be one of the sunniest places in Saalbach for many years to come.

What would Hotel Sonnegg be without its hardworking helpers. We have many of them and some have been with us for over 10 years. 13 employees take care of your well-being.
Our cleaning fairies take care of cleanliness in all corners, Roland and his kitchen team conjure up regional and international delicacies on your plates. Our service staff will spoil you from morning to night in our restaurant areas and we at the reception are there for you with concerns of any kind.
Of course, then there are other good souls in our house. Like our strong men who take care of technical problems and gardening or our motorcycle tour guide Norbert, who shows you the most beautiful corners on two wheels in the summer.
So you see, for the daily hotel business it takes many hands and together we try to make your vacation as nice as possible.
