Welcome to #skiverrückt
At the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships from February 4 to 16, 2025, an international celebration of skiing will be held in Saalbach. Together we will ignite exuberant enthusiasm – as we did at the Sun World Championships in 1991 – and provide lasting impetus for winter sports in Salzburger Land.
The focus is on the “one mountain – all competitions” concept. All races will take place on the Zwölferkogel. The World Cup slopes for all disciplines lead into a finish area – the Hexenkessel, which can accommodate 15,000 enthusiastic fans. The varied supporting program makes the newly designed Dorfstraße the epicentre of the World Championships action.
races, because even during the World Ski Championships, skiing is 100% open.
The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2025 in Saalbach aim to be a green benchmark for future sporting events. Among other things, the set sustainability goals are to be achieved with short distances, good accessibility on foot to all “event hotspots”, all competitions on one mountain and a modern mountain railroad and piste infrastructure.
Furthermore, optimal travel options by public transport are planned and the possibility to travel to the races in Salzburger Land on skis – with the opportunity to experience the races along the route free of charge – is unique and corresponds to a Green Event.
REDUCE, RE-USE and RECYCLE are important keywords for the overall structural measures.
3 resorts – 1 ski area: It’s easy to get to the venues of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2025 on skis from all parts of the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn.
